Have only posted once and a while ago but seriously angry and need to dump it on someone. I guess its you! But i know youll understand

Firstly people avoid you coz they dont want to deal with the fact that someone is sick. Then they avoid you coz its TERMINAL. Others avoid you coz they are too busy to help or even care. So you learn who your friends are.

Then its all the people who think you (the carer) are doing it all wrong and could do it so much better. They dont actually get there hands dirty and HELP tho do they? But they are good at telling you everthing you do wrong.

Then theres his FAMILY who feel cut off but are never there, never call, never make an effort. They dont tell you all about it tho, you here it 3rd hand from the grapevine.

Its frsutrating and lonely isnt it.

Thanks for letting me get that off the chest. Now will go and make dinner. And smile for the kids.

Jenni

Jenni -
It's their loss! I really feel sorry for the friends and family who 'don't want to know'. They are forever marked "gutless"; it's engraved across their foreheads for all to see and it's engraved across their hearts for them to live with.
But, yes; it hurts. But it makes you forever appreciate the love and the courage of those who stay; the 'true' friends.
Wishing you strength and peace.
Lynne

JenniV. Welcome. Everything you say is right. You won't find any of us here at carers haven arguing with that one. Doesn't make it any easier but as greenlyn says "It is their loss". Who knows, one day they just might find themselves in a similar situation. Then they understand!!

{ Hugs } It's not fair is it. The good news is, they have no say.

Hey Jenni, Good to hear from you again. Sorry that you are feeling so bad. I hope things are a little better now.

Absolutely spot on with everything that you say and it is just so frustrating. It a bloody tough job that we do and no-one is ever happy. If it does help a little we are all really happy to listen and agree! So please feel free to rant and rave as much as you like.

Lots of hugs being sent you Jenni. Take care of yourself.
